Jack Goodfellow regularly visits his brother Vince in the asylum where he is confined for killing their mother. It was an accident. Vince was trying to kill Jack. Vince delights in telling Jack stories of grisly murders that seem to be the ramblings of a deranged mind. But when one of those stories becomes reality for Jack’s coworker, Jo Hanlon, Jack must discover if his brother predicted her death or caused it.

There is no shortage of weirdness in Jack’s life. He works for the Eldritch Express, a periodical about supernatural phenomena, and monitors the publication’s help line. He was born in a small town named Callow, where a friend of Jo Hanlon’s became insane and was later found mutilated. Noted supernatural expert and author Yolanda Marchant lives in Callow and Jo Hanlon planned on interviewing her. The coincidences surrounding Jack’s life are rampant, but perhaps they are more than coincidences…
