Image Comics has had its share of detractors, ranging from the rather mild parodies such as WildB.R.A.T.s to the downright nasty Kill Image. Parody Press! has had so much fun making fun of these comic upstarts that it has devoted a substantial amount of its output to spoofing various Image titles.

Perhaps sensing a growth business, Image created Splitting Image to lampoon itself. Although the gang takes some good-natured shots at its own characters and public personae, its heart doesn’t really seem to be in it. Perhaps, given the slew of Image parodies available, they ought to leave it to the professionals.
