Forever People (Mini-Series)

™ and ©1988 DC Comics, Inc.

When they first appeared, the Forever People were like a group of cosmic hippies. Part of Jack Kirby’s “Fourth World,” they hailed from the planet New Genesis, which they called Supertown. The group consisted of super-scientist Vikyn the Black, giant Big Bear, cosmic cowboy Serifan, the gorgeous Beautiful Dreamer, and their leader Mark Moonrider. They also had a “sixth team member” in an intelligent computer called Mother Box. Searching after adventure this group traveled to Earth, pursued, unfortunately, by menaces such as Darkseid.

As this 1988 mini-series begins, the team has changed greatly. Vikyn is dead, killed in an experiment which caused Mother Box to explode. Big Bear and Beautiful Dreamer have married (and no longer look like hippies). Moonrider has become an upstanding member of Forevertown. Serifan, meanwhile, has become possessed by the Dark and now seeks to destroy them all.
