Gold Key’s own animal characters bring delight to children in this series of adventures. Cracky the Parrot is joined by Kaws the Crow as they bring joy and laughter to readers in a talking animal world reminiscent of Disney’s own talking critters of the comics and films. Cracky is the wise and thoughtful bird whose brainy ideas and jobs are afflicted by the bumblings of Kaw in short stories that will remind older readers of Martin and Lewis.

Cracky appeared in various other Gold Key titles, but never held the staying power of other more televised characters such as Warner Brothers’ Daffy Duck and Foghorn Leghorn or Disney’s various bird creations as in Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck.
