Kaanar was once a powerful warrior in the Riot Guard, and a force throughout the Empire. After countless years of battle, he tried to put it all behind him, taking up the life of a farmer on Kaabari. There he met his wife Laayana, and thought he had found peace at last.

But it was not to be. The people of Kaabari had grown tired of empire rule and had finally gathered the courage to gather for a protest. After all, there hadn’t been a military presence on Kaabari for five years. The protesters could not have guessed that their peaceful demonstration would be broken up by a detachment of Riot Gear, the enforcers of the Empire. The soldiers swept down with swiftness and brutality, taking hundreds prisoner and killing the others. When Kaanar realized that his wife was among those taken, he was forced to shift back into his armored form as the Chromium Man, and rejoin a battle that he thought long behind him.
