Yearning for a new adventure, Judah Maccabee, the self-styled Hammer of God, undertakes to search for his long lost cousin Butch, rumored to have joined a select assassins’ society, the Gucci. The best way to find Butch is to join up himself, despite having previously killed at least forty Gucci members and accruing several vendettas against him by them. Knowing Judah’s bombastic character inside-out, Mike Baron is in fine comic form here, and artist Shea Anton Pensa treads the fine line between comedy and slapstick very adroitly.
