Maximum Security Dangerous Planet

The meddling human race has finally gone too far. At least that’s the consensus of most of the civilized races from eight galaxies. On the council planet, Selandiar, the gathering place for more than ten thousand representatives including Skrulls, Badoon, Rigellians and of course Charles Xavier’s paramour, Lilandra of the Shi’ar, humanity’s fate is being debated. Xavier is leading an X-Men-like group of Skrulls calling themselves Cadre K who recently intervened in the Skrull’s mass extinction of their own class of mutants, rogue K-class Skrulls. Consequently Skrulls are the most vocal in their resentment of humanity, but additionally other races step forward to relate more incidents of Earth’s heroes involving themselves in what should be none of their business.

Most alarming of all is the quest of Ego the Living Planet to discover other sentient worlds like himself. In the course of his search he exterminates any lifeforms that dwell on his perceived brothers. This of course is also blamed on Earth.

This one-shot was the preface to Marvel’s cosmos-spanning mini-series, Maximum Security.
