Jenny Finn

    (Oni, 1999)
™ and ©1999 Mike Mignola and Troy Nixey

Prostitutes are being slashed to death in a small coastal fishing town, and their clients, who seem to be cursed with some sort of aquatic infection that kills them in unspeakably grotesque ways, aren’t doing much better. Meanwhile, a regular guy—strong of back and character but small of mind—is trying to help, with little success. In fact, he is so confused by the mysterious goings-on, he may even be doing more harm than good. At the center of the mystery is a solemn (evil?) girl known as Jenny Finn, who may be a victim, or a mysterious healer…or the one behind all the deaths.

Written by Mike Mignola and drawn in eerie black-and-white by Troy Nixey, this Oni Press mini-series is shadowed in mystery and horror. It isn’t clear whether residents who survive the horror are significantly better off than those who don’t.
