Buried Terror

New England Comics, the company best known for the inane comedy of “The Tick,” tries their hand at horror in this black-and-white title that reprints old, pre-Comics-Code horror classics. Each issue features several short stories originally presented decades ago, with cool, kitschy titles like “Curse Castle” and “Fog Was My Shroud.” Tales include a soldier on his own, haunted by ghosts, and a cabin in the woods, with a frightened woman being slowly driven mad. In short, all the horror staples are here in these thrilling tales.

Each issue features new covers and pages of text—with reprint covers included—that discuss the golden age of comic book horror.
