Comic books ordinarily feature the implausible—not surprising, considering that the artform is genuinely suited to the incredible. But it’s not limited to super-heroes or science-fiction as this title so effectively demonstrates.

Real Life Comics features tales of heroes that don’t wear colorful costumes, but rather army fatigues, buckskins, a coat and tie, or medieval armor. Culling stories from history, this title portrays characters from a myriad of occupations. Stories from soldiers of the Korean War, to Louis XI, King of France, and frontiersman, John Colter, to the heroics of everyday people, are not out of place in this book.
