The second Grifter series was handled by veteran action writer Steven Grant, working with a variety of artists. Grant concentrates on telling single-issue stories, pitting Cole Cash (a.k.a. Grifter) against assorted madmen and villains.

Cash’s background as a member of the elite Team 7 gets more play in this series, with various characters from his past making not-always-welcome reappearances. Overall, it’s a fast-paced, very nicely done adventure series, with a vaguely James Bond appeal.
