Nothing has changed in this manga rendition of the classic Disney film. Jack Skellington feels unfulfilled as Halloweentown’s reigning Pumpkin King, and stumbles upon a secret doorway to Christmastown. Soon he decides that his true calling in life is to be a bony version of Sandy Claws, with disastrous effects. The only thing missing from this manga adaptation of the feature film are the lyrics to the songs; the musical numbers are hinted at but never explored in written terms. However, if you’ve ever wondered how the stop-motion animation would translate to comic book panels, then this surely will not disappoint.
