Big Monster Fight
(Kidgang, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Kidgang Comics
If you loved Godzilla movies, you’ll love—or at least recognize—Big Monster Fight. Published in 1995 by Minneapolis-based Kidgang Comics, this title is basically an excuse to draw lots of different monsters wreaking havoc and destroying cities. Just like the old Japanese monster movies, these menaces crush houses, knock buildings over, and generally make a nuisance of themselves.
It’s pointless, violent, and funny stuff, with stories like “It’s a Big Monster World” and “Horror of the Jabberwock.” No artist credits appear in the issue, but Mark Stegbauer and Carl Gafford are thanked for their “valuable technical advice.”
