When the kingdom of Burien is invaded, the Lord’s fiery-haired, half-fairy daughter narrowly manages to escape the clutches of the evil usurper. She vows to save her father and her home, but what good is one small girl against an entire army?

Luckily, Moon has the help of several friends, including her personal “knight,” the traveling acrobat Antolin, and Bran, an invisible gnome, as well as several magical gifts from her mother. During the course of their quest, Moon and her friends will face many dangers both mystical and mundane, from wolves and slave traders to shadow dragons and slavering monsters. They will cross the Forest of Night, visit the Fairy castle, and eventually journey to the mysterious land of Never…

Both exciting and whimsical, this fantasy from Slovenia should appeal to all ages, and features the art of 100 Bullets’ Eduardo Risso.
