Chronos

    (DC, 1998-1999)
™ and ©1998 DC Comics

Walker Gabriel is struggling with a killer as an energy portal surrounds them, and suddenly he finds himself in Smallville, Kansas in the 1800s catching a ride on a horse-drawn wagon with a man named Kent. So begins the time-travelling adventures of the new Chronos.

One of the Atom’s foes during the Silver Age was the time-traveling villain, Chronos. In 1998, a new character, Walker Gabriel, appropriated the name with the approval of the original Chronos. In addition to moving through time to satisfy his own indulgences (like seeing the Beatles in Hamburg in 1960), Gabriel was making a tidy profit as a high-tech thief, until his employer attempted to make him the fall guy in the murder of a Linear Man. The concept of affecting history has made the time traveler a venerable character type in comics and this series promises to involve itself intricately in DC’s past.
