Although Ben Dunn created the character of Warrior Nun Areala, it was Brian Denham who handled art duties on the character during the early issues of this series. Easily one of Antarctic Press’s most popular characters, Warrior Nun Areala is set in a world where the church, the government, and the military are largely interconnected. The Catholic Church maintains a force of warrior nuns skilled in the use of arms to defend against all manner of demonic and supernatural beings. The Warrior Nun Areala was one of the greatest of these in ages past. Now, Sister Shannon Masters of the Order of Areala carries on that proud name as she wages war against those that threaten the Church.
