    (Lost in the Dark, 2005)
™ and ©2005 Jeff Davidson and Stephen R. Buell

Jacob suffers from the Fragile X syndrome, a serious mental disorder, and consequently has trouble understanding the world around him. His older brother Esau cares for Jacob after the death of their parents, and struggles to make ends meet while keeping Jacob out of a mental facility. When an outing with Jacob reveals that he may have the ability to see the near future, Esau has a chance to use Jacob’s gift to put their finances in order. He and Jacob start small with a carnival and only perform during the afternoon, allowing Jacob to get to bed on time and have a normal routine. But the big time is beckoning, and Esau wants to listen. At what point does it go past caring for Jacob’s well-being to exploiting his unique gift?
