Xenotech

Xenotech is a group of super-powered individuals charged with protecting Earth from incursion by hostile aliens. The aliens in question pop up without warning through dimensional rifts, which were once used by the peaceful Tessadi race to explore the galaxy, but which later began to spontaneously reopen, letting all manner of monsters through. After numerous worlds were destroyed in this manner, the Tessadi tried to close the rifts for good. When that proved impossible, they chose certain beings from each planet to act as defensive teams. Armed with high-tech weaponry and unearthly powers, these defenders were on call whenever a rift opened.

Launched as part of a Next universe including Stupid Heroes and Bioneers, this line from Mirage Publishing faced disappointing sales and vanished nearly as soon as it was begun.
