There are artists who slap together poorly drawn, barely erotic images of naked women, and then there’s Ashley Wood. Wood’s broad work in the field of comics—super-heroes, robots, and other genres—gives a taste of his ability, while this book lets it shine through. His simple sketches of naked women manage to be both beautiful and erotic, without going over the top. Wood also includes some fully-painted pages and others with spot color, to added effect.

This oversized collection of his imagery isn’t for everyone—some of the sketches are pretty racy—but it’s a great showcase of the man’s talent.
