Rebecca Golden was caught in a storm while sailing with friends during the summer of 1983. The boat sank under the rough seas, although everyone was eventually rescued. Everyone, that is, except Rebecca.

Rebecca died that day, but she was not taken into the Land of the Dead. Instead, Aqua, Goddess of the Water, took Rebecca as her agent. Becky was reborn as Fathom, a green-haired member of the Elementals, with the power to control water in all its forms, and even become “living water” herself.

In this mini-series, Fathom is taken back through time by Aqua to stop Apaosha, Lord of Drought, from draining the Caspian sea in the year 992. Her success or failure in this mission will determine the course of civilizations and religions for a thousand years to follow…
