Series continued in Sensation Mystery #110

Sensation Comics was one of the cornerstone DC Golden Age titles and the stomping grounds of one of the company’s marquee hero(ine)s, Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman fought Nazis and criminals in a series of remarkably protofeminist adventures penned by Charles Moulton and drawn in a singular style by Harry Peters. Memorable backup characters included prize-fighter-turned-crimefighter Wildcat and playboy masked man Mister Terrific. Issue #34 introduced Sargon the Sorcerer, one of DC’s longer-lived occult characters.

As the Golden Age wound down in the early 1950s, Wonder Woman departed for the pages of her own title, and adventure/mystery character Johnny Peril moved over from Comic Cavalcade and Danger Trail. The incredibly rare last several issues were entirely mystery/horror, with the title of the book changing to Sensation Mystery from #110 to the final issue, #116.
