On his quest for Buddhist enlightenment, Prince Lee is aided by four spiritual kung fu experts to avenge his father’s murder by his evil stepmother queen. But the allies meet the Ice Storm and his son, Proud Storm, who still holds the heart of the fair maiden Dream Taiyi. But they must confront the Taiyi family whose members wish to reclaim her.

Meanwhile, the Shinto fighter Fei recalls how Ice Storm destroyed his family by romancing his mother and killing his father. However, now Ice Storm has hired the four saints to assassinate the Jan Taiyi, the head of his clan. However, their plan is uncovered, and they are surrounded by galleons of the “Sinuous Seven” on the open sea. Can they survive this fiery ambush and continue their mission?

True to Hong Kong comics tradition, Seto’s swirling and silky fisticuffs immediately distract the reader from the confusing plot. Religious jargon aside, this convoluted story makes daytime soap operas look simplistic. Characters are convenient cannon fodder; that excites the eye but muddles the mind.
