“You can’t flee from ‘The Gloom’” promises the front cover of this title which looks like an homage to The Shadow, The Spirit and The Lone Ranger, with a little Zorro mixed in for good measure. Gloom goes around trying to keep the peace but somehow manages to cause as much trouble as he’s trying to prevent. Set during World War II, Gloom battles the Nazis and is trying valiantly to succeed in his efforts.
