Vault of Screaming Horror

    (FantaCo, 1993)

A young boy runs a simple errand, only to face a horrific encounter with the gruesome, flesh-eating roadhog. A doctor visiting his wife’s grave has the sense of being watched, and the irrational fear that a lone, weather-beaten tree is tormenting the souls of the graveyard’s residents. And a troubled man is afraid to leave his house, driven insane with fear over what he might do…especially under a full moon.

These grisly, albeit somewhat predictable tales, pay homage to old horror comics, combined with a number of grotesque pinups involving such wonderful visions as the dying and the dead being fed upon by rats in this title. Shades of “Creepshow” are present too, right down to a skeletal narrator introducing the action with lame jokes. Published in black and white by Fantaco Entertainment with art and stories by Gurchain Singh.
