Laurel and Hardy (Dell)

™ and © Dell Publishing Co.

The comedy team of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy first appeared on film together in 1917, but it was a decade later that the team truly appeared in the form most remembered: of two bumbling buffoons trying to make it through life by moving pianos, large blocks of ice, and joining the foreign legion. By the time their first comic book series appeared in 1949, their film career was essentially over. By the time of this Dell published series, Hardy had passed on and Larry Harmon had obtained the rights to produce an animated version, which was produced by Hanna-Barbera.
