What is…The Face?

The Face is a crimefighter who wears a gruesome, demonic mask to disguise his identity and to strike fear in the hearts of those who do evil. This black-and-white series from Ace Comics reprints Golden Age tales of the original Face, grandfather of the modern incarnation who stars in new stories by Joe Gill and the legendary Steve Ditko (The Amazing Spider-Man, Beware the Creeper). In the newer tales, the Face is secretly an investigative reporter who tends to get a bit too close for comfort when he exposes crime bosses.
