Fantastic Four Presents Franklin Richards

Chris Eliopoulos and Marc Sumerak shine the spotlight on the youngest member of the Fantastic Four, Franklin Richards, in this series of adventures that recall some of the imaginary adventures of “Calvin and Hobbes.” Like that other blonde hellion, Franklin embarks on a series of humorous mishaps with a companion by his side. Substituting for the stuffed tiger Hobbes is exasperated robot nanny H.E.R.B.I.E., the oft maligned substitute for the Human Torch in the old Fantastic Four cartoon. In portraying Franklin as a brat, the creative team actually makes him seem more like a normal young boy than perhaps he’s ever been before. Of course, with Reed Richards as his dad and time machines, Doombots, and invisibility rays scattered about his home, Franklin hardly lives the life of a normal kid.
