Missing Beings Special

There is both a charm and novelty about this one-shot focusing on the rather too cutely named Tristan Fureel, locator of missing beings. That the strip is set in the future lends the term “being” a rather cosmopolitan definition. The lesbian computer is probably a first, and her inhabiting a virtual reality world was hardly a threadbare cliché at the time. The change in Bill Neville’s art from chapter to chapter is jarring, but it is promising throughout. The material originally appeared as a backup strip in Southern Knights #7-9.
