Evil Ernie vs. the Movie Monsters

    (Chaos, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Chaos! Comics, Inc.

Apparently not getting enough action in his own Chaos! comic, Evil Ernie breaks off into this one-shot to pay homage to the classic Universal and other movie monsters—by ruthlessly slaughtering them. According to the inside cover, the book is presented in Shock-O-Rama, “so vivid you can hear the bones break & the blood splatter.” And splatter it does.

All Ernie and his band of zombies want to do is break into Cosmic studios and see the monsters, something he was denied by his zealot parents as a child. When those same monsters attack him and his crew, it stands to reason that the only thing to do is rip them into tiny, microscopic pieces. Readers almost feel sorry for analogs of Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, the Terminator and the Aliens, as each is violently dispatched by the wisecracking Ernie. The ultimate winner has the right to call himself King of All Monsters.
