We know, you probably wish that the big guys—Marvel, DC, Image—would do more of this kind of thing: basically provide an aspiring writer or artist a chance on landing a job within their halls and become one with the exciting comics industry. But hey, life is really not that short and one shouldn’t miss any opportunity to break in and see their work in print!

What Solson Publications provided here back in 1986 were 14 pages of unscripted penciled pages and a story plot. All an aspiring writer had to do was create a script and send it on in—the entry deemed most professional would see publication in the subsequent issue.
