Burying Sandwiches

Janice Takeda had this thing about food—she was a fierce fighter of any touching her lips. She just didn’t like food in any form. She fantasized about being able to inhale nutrition on other worlds. She would take her lunch and bury it on the way to school… which is when “they” began to follow her. Small, black round creatures with eyes. No one seemed to see them, so she thought that perhaps they were ghosts. And then, one day, she ate one. Janice discovered ghost meat was the most fantastic thing she’d ever had in her mouth! From there, things began to get a little strange…

Rob Sato brings readers a black and white self-published tale that may be a little hard to swallow at first, but catches the imagination the more of it you take in.
