Strike! Versus Sgt. Strike Special
(Eclipse, 1988)
™ and ©1988 Chuck Dixon and Tom Lyle
The universe’s ugliest parasite aliens are looking to destroy the Earth, among other planets, and only the determined (albeit hot-headed and inexperienced) warrior known as Strike! can stop them. He’s got some problems to deal with first. He has been captured and his power harness has been taken from him by yet another race of aliens, and worse, the parasites have enslaved the mind and the powers of the veteran warrior known as Sgt. Strike. Can he convince his abductors to return his all-important power source; overcome, and then free the Sergeant; and finally, repel the alien force? Moreover, will USA forces preparing for intergalactic war help his cause, or just get in the way?
These questions and others are answered by the end of this full-color title from Eclipse Comics. It’s written by Charles Dixon and drawn by Tom Lyle, both of whom achieved somewhat greater recognition later on at DC and Marvel.
