Tales From the Crypt (Gladstone)

In 1990, Gladstone obtained the rights to republish many of the old EC comics from the fifties. Gladstone’s Tales From the Crypt were a set of double-sized issues that reprinted both a Tales From the Crypt and a Crime Suspenstories issue in their entirety. Gladstone did skip around a bit, picking and choosing the issues to reprint instead of following the original titles in sequence, as Russ Cochran Presents would do a few years later.

Although Gladstone’s Tales From the Crypt run would last for only a few issues of each title, they managed to unearth some of the best Crypt stories during that time. Included were the ghastly origin of the Crypt Keeper himself, several Ray Bradbury horror adaptations, and many other ghoulish tales.
