Laugh Digest Magazine

    (Archie, 1974-2005)
™ and ©1996 Archie Comic Publications, Inc.

The venerable Laugh Comics featuring Archie eventually gave birth to this digest-sized compendium of Archie strips in 1974. This miniature humor comic began as Laugh Comics Digest, and later made minor name changes to become Laugh Comics Digest Magazine, then its present Laugh Digest Magazine. By any name, it’s been an affordable way for Archie fans to keep up on the latest antics of the entire Riverdale crew.

Sold frequently in grocery stores (next to the TV Guides), this digest has been an American favorite for over thirty years. Not only are the comics suitable for young readers, but there was enough material inside to entertain for hours—all for about as much as you would pay for the week’s TV listings.

Early issues of Laugh Digest featured the little-known work of comics great Neal Adams.
