History teacher Joe Campbell had the perfect life. Popular and loved by his students, no one knows that Joe is secretly one of the most powerful beings on the planet. During emergencies, he swoops in, saves the day, and swoops out before anyone recognizes him. Enter Reggie Baxter, a publicity hungry tabloid reporter. When Reggie accidentally videotapes Joe’s face during a rescue, all he can see is dollar signs and a front-page story. Reggie quickly blackmails Joe into becoming Venture, a super-hero complete with flashy cape and costume, while Reggie files exclusive reports on his exploits. Although the relationship between the two men is strained, can it be possible that a reluctant Joe actually enjoys being Venture?

Venture is another outstanding super-hero concept from Jay Farber, author of the creator-owned comic Noble Causes.
