Elfquest: The Rebels
(Warp, 1994-1996)
™ and ©1995 Warp Graphics, Inc.
This twelve-issue series is published by Wendy and Richard Pini (the “WARP” in Warp Graphics), the same people who created the extremely popular Elfquest. This series, like Warp’s Jink, is set in the future.
In The Rebels, human civilization has taken over the World of Two Moons, renaming the planet “Abode.” Mankind has spread also to offworld colonies, and it is considered a quaint legend that elves ever existed. Indeed, the current government actively censors any who claim that races other than mankind exist in the universe.
In this environment of “benign” totalitarianism, five youngsters find themselves thrown together by fate. Three humans, along with a bug-like alien and an intelligent robot discover the truth, and are hunted down as a result. Then, after stealing a spacecraft from the Skyward, they become not just fugitives, but rebels.
