The Jungle Twins

The Jungle Twins exist in a version of camping out in the back yard: far enough from home to have adventure, but close enough to civilization so that help can always be found when it’s needed. The two boys were the princes of Glockenberg, but were presumed dead when the plane carrying them and their parents crashed in the jungles of South Africa. Like Tarzan, however, the boys learned to live in the jungles by themselves, making friends with local tribesmen, and taking on the jungle names Tono and Kono. Their adventures are wonderful flights of boyhood fancy, battling slavers, monsters, and giant gorillas. The most interesting struggles, however, were those where elements of the nearby civilization intruded on their jungle life.

This series ran seventeen issues from 1972–1975, with a reprint-laden issue #18 appearing in 1982.
