Superman: Day of Doom

™ and ©2003 DC Comics

Ty Duffy is the new man on the Totem Pole at the Daily Planet. He’s brash, he’s arrogant, and he does not like Superman. When his latest assignment involves the tenth anniversary of Big Blue’s murder by the villain Doomsday, he just doesn’t care—about the story or the subject. Through this four-issue mini-series, Duffy covers Doomsday’s rampage, Superman’s death and its effect on the world, the heroes who took his place, and his ultimate resurrection. He talks with super-heroes and regular people to see how the death of Superman affected their hopes, their dreams, and their lives at the time. In an interview with the man himself, the secret of why Ty dislikes Superman so much is revealed, as well as the possibility that the world may actually need a Superman.
