1984’s Super Powers mini-series brought Jack Kirby’s Fourth World into the mainstream DC universe. The evil Darkseid has decided to invade the Earth, forcing heroes like Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman to join forces with old foes like the Penguin and the Joker in order to stop him. To make things even stranger, Earth’s heroes are transported via a “Boom Tube” onto Darkseid’s blasted-out world of Apokolips—leaving Earth unprotected against the legions of Apokolips!

This five-issue mini-series was written and drawn by Jack Kirby, a man widely regarded as master of the cosmic storyline.
