Ant

Ant is an inspired spin on the super-hero genre from writer-artist Mario Gully and Arcana Studio. Poor Hanna Washington has had a tough life: Danny, her father, is a good guy, but he can’t protect her from everything—especially the taunting she endures from Carrie Wolfe and her entourage at school, nor the admonishments she receives for her overactive imagination from the new school principal. Inbetween all that, Hanna’s flake of an estranged mother only blows back into her life when she needs something from Danny. And now her private journal is missing. You see, Hanna’s journal is how she deals with her difficult life. In there, she creates the adventures of a hero who can fix the world: the amazing Ant; the bane of the criminal underworld. Ant is everything Hanna wants to be, and everything we know she can be.
