The Flintstones (Harvey)

™ and © Harvey Comic Publications

The Flintstones had ceased publication for a few years after the short-lived Marvel attempt of the late 70s. After a few one-shots in 3-D by Blackthorne, the revitalized Harvey Comics felt that the time was right to return the adventures of Fred Flintstone and family back to the comic book shelves. Unfortunately, save for the excellent Scott Shaw! front covers, this series was nothing more than a reprinting of the below par Charlton series. Even after Harvey finally decided to correct its error in judgment and create fresh material, they soon folded their comic book publishing arm and the new material eventually saw print in comic books published by Archie.
