Fourteen years after the conclusion of their first series, The Invaders return in this four-issue mini-series. The Invaders are comprised of the greatest Marvel/Timely Comics heroes of the World War II era: Captain America; Namor, the Sub-Mariner; the Original Human Torch; Miss America; and the Whizzer. Gathered together, they fight the Nazi menace at home and abroad.

This second Invaders series begins on June 22, 1942. Nazi submarines have been harassing ships off the coast of New York for some time, but now they’re up to something far more sinister. When the Invaders try to stop a sub-attack in U.S. waters, they encounter a new team of super-heroes called the Battle Axis, apparently comprised of expatriated American super-heroes. After beating Captain America, Human Torch, and Namor, they proceed with their secret mission—a mission which, if successful, will take America out of the war for good!
