Angel (1st Series)

    (Dell, 1955-1958)
™ and ©1956 Dell Publishing Co.

Angel was a simple and good-humored kid strip drawn by Mel Casson and published by Dell during the 1950s. Angel, a little girl of six or seven, and pals like Henry and Milton find funny ways to get in and out of trouble with their peers, parents, and teachers in breezy, fast-moving four-or eight-page stories. The tone and style are reminiscent of other kid strips popular around the same time, including Dennis the Menace and Nancy and Sluggo.
