This Prestige Format one-shot from Image Comics collects David Mack’s Kabuki Color Special and Kabuki: Dreams of the Dead. These two tales find the Asian warrior Kabuki wounded and near death. In her delirium, actually something more like a dream-state, she finds peace with the spirit of her mother and comes to terms with herself and her purpose in life. These stories read more like beautiful, intriguing, mysterious Asian poetry than a comic book, and Mack’s gorgeous paintings bring them to sumptuous life.
