Doctor shows have always been a consistent staple of television from Medic to ER. From 1961-66, Ben Casey and the often compared to Dr. Kildare series aired, causing much confusion about which series was which. This one was the one that starred Vince Edwards and began with the introduction of “Man, woman, birth, death, infinity”, and also starred Sam Jaffe as his fellow neurosurgeon. Edwards was considered quite a heartthrob when this series originally aired, so many of the comic book issues are adorned with large color photos of the star.
