Ibis the Invincible

Ibis the Invincible was a mainstay of Whiz Comics since its debut in 1940. Whiz, of course, was more memorable for being the long-running home of Fawcett’s Captain Marvel (Shazam!). Ibis was a solid character of an Egyptian wearing a turban who came back to life from being a mummy to perform his miraculous feats with the help of his Ibistick. This series never quite caught on by itself as Ibis only came out on a sporadic basis during the 40s.
