When Beanies Attack

Writer/artist Tony Furtado and artist Erich Owen take a pot-shot at the “reality television” craze of the late 1990s in the title of this amusing black-and-white one-shot. But the Ty Beanie Babies—spoofed as the Dy Teenie Babies (get it?)—and their ravenous collector-fans take the brunt of the parody here, as the floppy stuffed animals come to life and slaughter their owners.
