Doctor Fate (2nd Series)

Doctor Fate has been a DC character since the 1940s, when he was introduced in More Fun Comics #55. Although the appearance he presents to the world has remained the same, a number of people have lived behind his mask. The newest of these is a young boy named Eric, who was artificially aged by the Lord of Order to take on the role of Dr. Fate. But Dr. Fate was always meant to be two people, and it was only when the soul of Eric’s stepmother, Linda, was added to his that they formed the first true Dr. Fate.

These two people can join together to become a sorcerous force for order in the continuing war against chaos. This leads to a strange dilemma: a man with the soul of a boy becomes joined, literally body and soul, with a woman who was once his stepmother, and is now more of a soulmate. The strange tension of this relationship notwithstanding, Dr. Fate has a job to do, saving the world from all manner of supernatural perils.
