Whizzer and Chips Monthly
(Fleetway Quality, 1994)
™ and ©1994 Fleetway Editions, Ltd.
Whizzer and Chips is a British humor strip magazine with a huge cast of characters. Its one-and two-page strips feature the exploits of Lazy Bones, the laziest kid alive; Super Steve, a clever super-kid who battles the villains at NME; Odd-Ball; the Krazy Gang, and many more.
Among its funniest strips are Junior Rotter, a pint-sized version of the greedy “J.R.” character from America’s “Dallas” TV show. Equally hilarious is Smarty’s Toffs and Tatty’s Toughs, a cartoon about a group of overprivileged kids (the Toffs) who are always trying to flaunt their status in front of the local kids (the Toughs), but who inevitably wind up being outsmarted by them instead.
In 1995, Whizzer and Chips was consolidated into a new comic, BVC.
