He made Wonder Woman into a biker-chick bad-girl, and now artist Mike Deodato (Thor, Elektra)—along with writers David Campiti and Mike Buckley—has his own jiggle series from Image Comics. Jade Warriors is the continuing story of the latest members of a barely dressed team of female warriors who began as servants to Japanese heroes and eventually became Yakuza assassins. They are Jade, Ruby, Sapphire, Opal, and the blonde Onyx—the only American member of the team. Now they are protectors of the innocent and hot on the trail of the diabolical Deathkiss, a sultry stripper who is also the killer of Jade’s sister. Beautiful—but certainly gratuitous—stuff!
